Happy Halloweenie Kiddies

Hope you enjoyed the festivities with your children, enjoyed the trick or treaters and are watching creepy movies snuggled in front of a fireplace.

In the spirit of the evening, I have a few ghouls in the news feature this evening. Grab your barf bags and read on.

First, in the oldies but goodies department, we have a new blurb from the Voice of the Faithful.

Now, I know what you're thinking. Who in the name of Boris Karloff is still sitting at that four-sided table drinking that witches brew.

Just a few days ago, Voice of the Faithful joined with The Fellowship of Southern Illinois Laity, Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests (SNAP), and Call to Action to ask the an Illinois Diocese to stop an abused priest from saying mass. The Diocese of Peoria allowed Fr. Tom Szydlik to say mass with Bishop Daniel Jenky during a public ministry held on Friday. Fr. Szydlik has been accused of sexual abuse with an Edwardsville woman.
Sexual abuse with a full grown woman? Sorry, but it's the textbook story of how women are so dimwitted that when they fall under the influence of flattery and lies and sleep with an irresponsible man, they're not accountable for their part in the adultery. This woman is claiming that the same coercion that landed her perpendicular also landed her in the abortion clinic.

Cut the baloney. Really.

Take responsibility and be remorseful for your own actions. It matters not that a serpent grabbed you in a weak moment and lured you into a fugatz. Realistically, the "I was baited" excuse didn't work for Adam and it isn't going to work for you. Own up to your part, even when you've been tricked.

This must be the new litigation shtick. Here's another floozy who can't face herself in the mirror and the lawyers are sucking them all up into the vacuum.

She hopped into the sack with a priest and is now claiming she was taken advantage of. Boo Hoo. Cry me a river.

Admittedly, if the story is even remotely true, the priest is narcissist and a megalomaniac.

As part of the suit, she provided photographs of him — one of him shirtless and kneeling next to her bed, another of the two of them embraced on a Long Island beach and a third showing him clenching a rose in his mouth.

The relationship ended earlier this month, she said, after she received an e-mail from the priest telling her he had "developed a rash in his groin and legs and believed it was from his sexual liaisons with others."

Ugh. It doesn't get much more disgusting than that.

Still, I'm not one to believe people who take secret pictures of their sexual romps and then claim they were victimized. Using surveillance equipment during sex is the habit of nymph gutter trash and people who have extortion in the back of their heads.

The incredulity is made all the more insane by a Voice of the Faithful proposal that wants priests to have more sex.

Dianne Wilkerson stuffing her bra at the Fillabuster

Here she is stuffing 1000 in her bra at the Fillabuster.

What a no good piece of trash.

Boy, two things you can say about Sal DiMasi, he doesn't go below five figures and he'd never use his underpants to take the loot to the bank.

What do you suppose her shtick will be?

"Was that money, I thought it was a breast implant."

"Beg pardon, the private developer told me he was building the Edgar Allen Poe spillover morgue as a courtesy to the City."

"It's preposterous to suggest I am corrupt."

Wilkerson made an initial appearance this afternoon before US Magistrate Judge Timothy S. Hillman. Prosecutors did not ask for bail; she was released on $50,000 unsecured bond. But prosecutors did ask that Hillman order her not to destroy any documents that may relate to the case.

"There is substantial concern on the part of the government that records will be -- quote -- 'lost,'" said Assistant US Attorney John S. McNeil said, noting her past federal and state legal troubles. "She has a long history of acting as if she was above the law."

Max D. Stern, Wilkerson's defense attorney, pushed back, telling Hillman his client had never been convicted of destroying records. "It's an occasion to engage in character assassination," he said. "There is no evidence whatsoever that she ever destroyed documents."

The crooks are all scurrying at the State House claiming they are shocked. Shocked I tell you.

Words of Wisdom from a Boston priest

Ave Maria!
Personally, I believe that the souls of 60 million aborted babies and their Guardian Angels are going to trip-up Obama. There have been some good signs: the first debate was on the feast of the Guardian Angels and the second was on the feast of the Holy Rosary. McCain (and Liberman with him!) made a visit to the shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe, who pulled off the Bush Victory on Dec. 12, 2000.

Well put.

Hadn't really given thought to all souls Obama is up against.

Don't forget Fr. Corapi's Novena:

No other issue, not all other issues taken together, can constitute a proportionate reason for voting for candidates that intend to preserve and defend this holocaust of innocent human life that is abortion.

I strongly urge every one of you to make a Novena and pray the Rosary to Our Lady of Victory between October 27th and Election Day, November 4th. Pray that God’s will be done and the most innocent and utterly vulnerable of our brothers and sisters will be protected from this barbaric and grossly sinful blight on society that is abortion. No woman, and no man, has the right to choose to murder an innocent human being.

Let's get praying!

Wilton Gregory

A friend in Christ circulated the following on Wilton Gregory:

Today I was reading about a possible stay of execution for Troy Anthony Davis. Without getting into if he is innocent or guilty, the evidence against him, etc. something else stuck out as being quite odd to me. It turns out that Archbishop Wilton Gregory of Atlanta had already written on behalf of the man who was convicted by a jury of 12 of his peers and possibly faces the death penalty as soon as next week. But Archbishop Gregory did this over a year ago. He wrote to the Georgia State Board of Pardons and Paroles on 7 June 2007. That letter can be viewed here: http://www.troyanthonydavis.org/Nix6-7-07.doc
What bothers me about this is not that Archbishop Gregory is speaking out against the taking of a human life. But the fact that when Terry Schiavo's case made it's way to the Federal Court of Appeals in Atlanta, Georgia, only a few blocks away from Wilton Gregory's office, he chose to remain silent. You can read about the case in Atlanta here: http://www.cnn.com/2005/LAW/03/22/schiavo/index.html
No letter. No voice of disapproval. No attempt whatsoever to try to convince anybody that she should be spared her life. Complete silence while she was fighting for her life and she had not even been charged with any wrong doing and certainly not convicted. Instead he released this letter only a few hours after she had already died: http://www.archatl.com/archbishops/gregory/writings/2005/03.31.05-Schiavo.pdf
Never mind how calculated it was to wait until she died and then say something only a few hours after she had passed when it was too late. Why the silence in one case but the outspoken support in another? In one case he remained silent when someone who hasn't even been accused of any wrongdoing let alone tried and convicted was going to be killed. In the other case someone who has been convicted of an actual crime so severe it calls for the death penalty will get his full support.
Again, this is in no way meant to be any statement on the innocence or guilt of Troy Anthony Davis and/or whether or not the death penalty applies here. It is only meant to question why Archbishop Wilton Gregory will support him but make no effort at all for Terry Schiavo.

Well said.

George Soros' Catholic Abortion Whores

Bill Donohue is outing some interesting news this week: catholics in alliance for the common good and catholics united, they're whores of George Soros.

"George Soros, who's basically an anti-American, far left-wing, pro-abortion, anti-Semite, anti-Catholic, is funding the Catholic left. Now, if the Catholic League were getting money from an anti-American, far right-wing, pro-abortion, anti-Semitic, anti-Catholic source, we'd be out of business in a New York minute," Donahue says. "By the way, George Soros lavishly funds Catholics for Choice, previously called Catholics for a Free Choice."

We all knew those puny little turds weren't Catholic.

Meanwhile, Catholics are stampeding to support McCain.

Of course, it helps that sixty Catholic Bishops spoke up for the innocent victims.

In more bad news for Soros and his cronies, the USCCB had to stop funding Obama's election fraud machine when they were outed by EWTN.

Brace Yourself, It's that time of year again...the Synod & coming shortly the USCCB Conference

At the Synod, among this year's discussions are the following:

-- How can the church educate people to listen to the word of God?

-- How can the church promote "lectio divina," the prayerful reading of the Bible?

-- Would it be helpful to have a compendium or other practical manual to help priests and deacons write and present their homilies?

-- Is there a need to revise the lectionary of Mass readings?

-- What can the church do to better emphasize the connection between the Liturgy of the Word and the Liturgy of the Eucharist at Mass?

-- What should the church do to improve the translation and distribution of Bibles, especially for the poor?

-- What can be done to help people understand that reading and interpreting the Bible must take into account the literal meaning of the text, the spiritual meaning of the text and the traditional teaching of the church?

-- Would it be a good idea for the church to sponsor a world congress on the word of God?

-- What steps can be taken to ensure that the Scriptures become a more important part of the search for Christian unity and the church's dialogue with the Jewish people?

-- What should the church and its members do to ensure that a biblical spirit animates all its pastoral efforts?

-- How can the church reconcile the practice of interreligious dialogue with the dogmatic affirmation that Christ is the one savior of humanity?

-- How can art, poetry, the Internet and other media be used to cultivate greater knowledge of the word of God?

This is a good suggestion from Karl Anderson - put a compendium together that ties the Readings with the Catechism.

Pope Suspends Bishop

The moonbat bishop who adopted a 30 year old woman has been suspended.

I guess the breastfeeding and changing of diapers wasn't going so well?

Obama Birth Certificate CreepFest

In spite of two ongoing lawsuits, Obama has still yet to produce his birth certificate.

The net result of Berg's efforts was that, on September 9, both Obama and the Democratic National Committee filed a joint motion for a Protective Order to Stay Discovery pending a decision on the Motion to Dismiss his lawsuit.
WEIRD.

The second suit...

filed a suit in the Court of the First Circuit State of Hawaii (08-1-2147-10) against the Republican governor, Linda Lingle, and the director of the Department of Health, Dr. Chiyome Fukino.

Martin's suit alleged that the defendants had refused to provide a copy of the requested, certified copy of the birth certificate of Senator Obama "attested to by the State and not a `certificate' which is posted on a website and which has been debunked as possibly having been altered."

"It is axiomatic," Martin's suit said, "that the birth certificate of a presidential candidate is a document of crucial public concern and significance.

Failing both his petition and an initial "emergency motion," Martin filed his second emergency motion this month (-1-2147-10 BIA) "for an Order to Show Cause (`OSC') directing the defendants...on or before October 22, 2008...at a hearing before this Court why the relief requested by the Plaintiff should not be granted...This lawsuit does not involve complicated or disputed facts."
Somehow I missed the Daily Kos debacle. Apparently, the Obama camp gave them an altered birth certificate which actually turned out to be his sister's.

The sleuthing continues. According to Berg, Martin, and a number of other sources, Obama was really born in the Coast Provincial General Hospital at Mombassa, Kenya at 7.24 PM on August 4, 1961, a birth that was documented by a certificate with an embossed seal that displays the name of the hospital, as well as witness signatures. In addition, if these reports are accurate, his grandmother in Kenya, as well as his brother and sister, claim they were present during Obama's birth in Kenya.
This is so HITCHCOCK!

Bishop Martino, crashes the party

Imagine all the liberals hovering in the basement of St. John's, handing out the the crazy USCCB "voting guide" and driveling about the Obama propoganda and in comes your Bishop to set the record straight.

Impressive and uplifting.

Martino arrived unannounced in the midst of a panel discussion on faith issues and the presidential campaign at St. John’s Catholic Church on Sunday. According to people who attended the event, the bishop chastised the group for holding the forum and particularly took issue with the discussion and distribution of excerpts from the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ position on voting issues. The document defines abortion and euthanasia, as well as racism, torture and genocide, as among the most important issues for Catholic voters to consider.

“No USCCB document is relevant in this diocese,” he was quoted as saying in the Wayne County Independent, a Honesdale-based newspaper. “The USCCB doesn’t speak for me.”
It gets better.

Thomas Shepstone, a local businessman and Catholic who spoke about his opposition to abortion rights during the event, recalled Tuesday that Martino also told the audience that he voted against the U.S. Bishops’ statement and described it as a consensus document “written to mean all things to all people.”

According to participants, Martino expressed dismay that the panelists did not discuss the pastoral letter he directed all priests in the Diocese to read in place of their homilies on Oct. 4 and 5. In that letter, he called on Catholic voters to consider abortion above all other issues, except those he defined as having equal moral weight, like euthanasia and embryonic stem-cell research.

“The only relevant document ... is my letter,” he said at the forum, according to the Independent. “There is one teacher in this diocese, and these points are not debatable.”

According to the Independent, the bishop also said he no longer supports the Democratic Party.

A diocesan spokesman on Tuesday confirmed the bishop’s comments as reported in the Independent.

The spokesman, William Genello, also released a statement that noted the bishop attended the event because he “was concerned because of the confusion and public misrepresentations about Catholic teaching on the life issues.
After the Bishop left, 2/3 of the people stormed out after him, but not before there was wild applause.

Doug Kmiec, one of the lone doctrinal benedict arnolds this election, takes the opportunity in the article to shamelessly mislead.

What a glorious witness Bishop Martino is!

The Cause of the Economic Crisis

Must watch video!

Very clever delivery.

Vote McCain/Palin!

Just when you think the world couldn't get any crazier - up out of the ashes comes Andrew Greeley

There are few things on the planet I find more stomach turning than the swine of Andrew Greeley.

Apparently the site of a praying prolife woman still makes him foam at the mouth.

Greeley’s evidence for Palin’s supposed racism? “She can stir up crowds to shout ‘Kill him!’ at the mention of the presidential candidate of the other party a couple of weeks before the national election,” the columnist priest claimed. Already part of the Left’s established lore, the “kill him” quote was allegedly exclaimed from an audience member at a McCain/Palin rally in Pennsylvania. The story originated with a Scranton newspaper. But Secret Service who were present reportedly never heard such a shout from among the thousands attending and couldn’t find anyone to corroborate the racist insult.

No matter. For Father Greeley, the fantasy that Governor Palin is whipping right wing crowds into a racist fury is simply too delectable to question. But the priest did not accuse just the Alaska governor of bigotry. New York City restaurant goers are guilty as well. En route to the theater to see “South Pacific,” Greely overheard diners loudly discuss how they “didn't know enough about Barack Obama to make a decision about him – as if there were not two books about his life.” Only racism could explain their reluctance about a candidate whom Greely has embraced nearly as ardently as one of the inamorata in his romance potboilers. “That plea implies that they don't know enough about him to accept his strange name or his skin color,” the priest darkly assumed from his eavesdropping of the brief restaurant chitchat. “It is, of course, impossible that they could ever know enough. He isn't one of us.”

Quite the nutcase.

Michael Paulson's Quiet Revolution

Michael Paulson, the poor lamb, contends in today's Globe that there's a "quiet revolution" to open up the Sacraments to non-believers, hardened sinners and those outside the Catholic Church.

Needless to say, there are some substantial errors in his theology.

Communion, the central ritual of most Christian worship services and long a members-only sacrament, is increasingly being opened to any willing participant, including the nonbaptized, the nonbeliever, and the non-Christian.

The change is most dramatic in the Episcopal Church, particularly in liberal dioceses like Massachusetts.
Drama aside, the Episcopal Church does not have the Sacrament of Communion. Episcopal priests do not and in fact, cannot turn bread and wine into the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Christ. Their communion is not an affirmation of the Presence of Christ within the Eucharist and a deposit of faith - the practice is a social one, as Catholics would have dinner with friends or donuts in the basement of the Church with other Catholics after the Sacrifice.

Supporters of open Communion argue that Jesus would not have turned anyone away; defenders of closed Communion say that's a misreading of biblical history and that Communion is meant to be a sign not only of one's faith but of one's membership in the church.
This does not comport with Scripture. Christ excluded many and in fact an entire race of gentiles whom He referred to as swine and dogs. Christ sat with sinners to teach & preach to them because they were spiritually sick and in need of a call to conversion but His miracles were reserved for those who expressed faith and belief.

For from the heart come forth evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false testimonies, blasphemies. 20 These are the things that defile a man. But to eat with unwashed hands doth not defile a man.

21 And Jesus went from thence, and retired into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon. 22 And behold a woman of Canaan who came out of those coasts, crying out, said to him: Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David: my daughter is grieviously troubled by the devil. 23 Who answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying: Send her away, for she crieth after us: 24 And he answering, said: I was not sent but to the sheep that are lost of the house of Israel. 25 But she came and adored him, saying: Lord, help me. 26 Who answering, said: It is not good to take the bread of the children, and to cast it to the dogs. 27 But she said: Yea, Lord; for the whelps also eat of the crumbs that fall from the table of their masters. 28 Then Jesus answering, said to her: O woman, great is thy faith: be it done to thee as thou wilt: and her daughter was cured from that hour.
2 And behold they brought to him one sick of the palsy lying in a bed. And Jesus, seeing their faith, said to the man sick of the palsy: Be of good heart, son, thy sins are forgiven thee.

Many moons ago, with all the seeds of confusion sewn by the priests in the Archdiocese of Boston that conflicted with the Catechism I had been taught as a child, I conducted my own journey to confirm or dispel the Catechism. The most compelling analysis is in one of the Chapters of Bishop Sheen's Life of Christ. He describes the scene where Christ was surrounded by a large crowd of people and as He walked along, He suddenly stops and asks who touched Him.

Peter and they that were with him said: Master, the multitudes throng and press thee, and dost thou say, Who touched me?

46 And Jesus said: Somebody hath touched me; for I know that virtue is gone out from me.

Bishop Sheen also points to the Mystical--the many soldiers who held Him down, stretched His Limbs to nail Him to the Cross. In particular, one who five minutes before denied the Divinity of Christ realized Whom they were executing during the three hours Christ hung from the Cross. But when this soldier was spattered with Christ's Blood, he had quite a different experience when he came into physical contact with Christ because he surrendered his beliefs to the obvious superiority of Christ's.

Paulson continues:

"Both sides will appeal to Scripture - those for open Communion will appeal to Jesus' practice of having meals with tax collectors and sinners, while those who want to maintain the traditional practice appeal to the Last Supper, where Jesus was eating with his disciples," said the Rev. Matthew Stewart, priest in charge at the Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit in Fall River. Stewart led a study of Communion practices in the Diocese of Massachusetts.
Setting aside that the Last Supper was the first Mystical Transubstantiation of the bread and wine to the Body and Blood of Christ and was not and is not the same as eating dinner with friends, Paulson leaves a lot to be desired in his reporting.

But even within the Catholic Church, there has clearly been change in practice, but coming from the pews, not the pulpit.

Actually, that's not a new phenomenon but rather a 2000+ year old practice initiated by Judas.

At the Last Supper, Christ points out the betrayer, the sinner. If we're going to use Paulson's thesis on protocol, it would carry that the priest would identify the sinners around the table prior to reception in front of everyone else.

Finally, Paulson gets to the focus of his revolution, the Catholic Church's teachings about the sexuality he practices in the privacy of his boudoir.

Church officials and scholars say the percentage of people attendingMass who receive Communion has risen dramatically over the last several decades. This suggests that the number of people who see themselves as excluded by sin has dropped.

Many Catholics have clearly decided to make their own rules, from public figures, like the twice-divorced and abortion rights supporting Rudolph Giuliani, who took Communion at a papal Mass in New York, to nonfamous persons who take Communion despite having been remarried outside the church, or engaging in premarital or gay sex, or other practices the Church defines as sinful.

It's true that one may deem themselves to be worthy of reception without the faith, but Scripture demonstrates that he/she receives worse than nothing. Of course, Judas hardened in the belief that what he was doing and about to do was not a sin, the call to conversion fell on deaf ears and received the Body and Blood of Christ unworthily. Far from spiritual enlightenment, he didn't have the tools for proper repentance. Oh, he was sorry all right, but the torment of his mind was a selfish one: he was being judged as having done something wrong when he didn't believe he had - he committed suicide.

At the same time, Peter, having denied Christ, recognized his sins as sins and his repentence was directed at seeking forgiveness from His Beloved.

The fraternity of priests in Boston who have bartered affirmation of their practicing sinful sexuality, desire for popularity, et al, for the price of an unprecedented abandonment of the teachings of the Church since Athinasius, will be pleased with Paulson's article. But deep down in the catacombs where the faith survives, as it always has and always will, many of us are grateful for the sacrificial love of priests, nuns, friends, leaders, Popes, Bishops, Cardinals who privately and publicly reminded us that the things we were doing were sinful and called us to repentance and the worthy reception of the Sacraments that drains the virtues from Christ.

October Surpise - Is Obama not a Natural Born Citizen of the US?

Pretty compelling evidence that Obama is not a Natural Born Citizen of the US.

The interview ends with a question:

If Obama is a natural born citizen, why is he refusing to produce documents?

Don't rule out Hillary yet? Personally, I think the Democrats would be VERY relieved!

Wow -NRO has parted ways with Buckley's Son over Obama Endorsement

NRO is parting ways with Buckley's son for his misfeasance.

Christopher Buckley knew he was venturing into treacherous territory when he endorsed Barack Obama: "It's a good thing my dear old mum and pup are no longer alive. They'd cut off my allowance," he wrote.

The penalty turned out to be more severe. William F. Buckley Jr.'s son said yesterday he had lost his back-page column in the conservative bible founded by his father, National Review.

"Within hours, poor NR was being swamped with furious mail, 'Cancel my subscription, this is betrayal, Judas, Benedict Arnold,' " Buckley said in an interview. "I thought the decent thing to do would be to offer to resign the column. Well, they accepted it."

Another kerfuffle took place a week or so with Kathleen Parker:

Buckley noted that columnist Kathleen Parker, after a National Review Online piece declaring Palin unqualified to be vice president, had received 12,000 hostile e-mails. Parker, who is syndicated by The Washington Post Writers Group, described the reaction in her next column: "I am a traitor and an idiot. Also, my mother should have aborted me and left me in a dumpster, but since she didn't, I should 'off' myself."
Well, at least she came to her senses. :O) Twelve thousand emails.

Voting the lesser of two evils for Catholics

I get a lot of traffic from Google queries regarding the definition of "a vote for the lesser of two evils".

The answer is a simple one: If you can get beyond his policy of decapitating and burning infants alive and withholding treatment to survivors, his palling with homicidal lunatics who want to wipe Jews off the face of the earth, his threats against Pakistan and Afghanistan, the ten years of "worshiping" whitey-hating, his promises to rid the planet of "the need cling to religion and guns", his interest in copying the ruthless health care system in Europe, his "economic advisors" --Franklin Raines, Jim Johnson and Tim Howard of Fannie and Freddie fame who filled their wallets with billions while extorting and robbing the poor -- and you can still agonizing over what is the lesser of two evils in accordance with the teachings of the Catholic Church, then you are swimming in a river of denial.

Here's what the Church teaches and it leaves no room for voting for Obama.

Among the many Bishops who have risen above the fraud to make crystal clear the choice for Roman Catholics is another few in the news this week:

The letter by Bishop Kevin Farrell of the Diocese of Dallas and Bishop Kevin Vann of the Diocese of Fort Worth says in part: "To vote for a candidate who supports the intrinsic evil of abortion or 'abortion rights' when there is a morally acceptable alternative would be to cooperate in the evil – and, therefore, morally impermissible."

As usual, the tools for salvation have gone over like a lead balloon to some:

"I was personally offended," said Phillip Archer of Dallas. "My bishop basically told me that if I vote for Barack Obama, I will go to hell."
When Christ said after his Ascension, the Paraclete would manifest to guide our consciences, this fellow believes Christ wasn't referring to the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church, He was referring to Phillip Archer.

Somehow, as a mother, I bet he didn 't wear his hat and gloves in a blizzard or wash his hands before supper.

You know, in spite of the media propoganda and hype that Obama is winning in the polls, I remain less than convinced that people are actually this stupid.

When Howard Stern can smell the carcass, there's plenty of waking up going on out in Babylon.

Kooks Foam at the Mouth at New York Priest Defense Fund

This is a sad story - some priest who was siphoned away from the priesthood by a wild band of mentally disturbed women falsifying their credentials as "nuns", is trying to raise legal funds to defend himself against charges:

A two-page letter sent Tuesday by the priest seeks money, anywhere from $100 to $10,000 or more, to help cover his legal expenses. He proclaims his innocence after reportedly passing a polygraph test.

"I have been falsely accused of committing crimes against three children under the age of 11. These charges are untrue. I am not guilty of these crimes. I have already taken the polygraph (lie detector) that corroborates my innocence," Broderick wrote. "It is not only my individual reputation at stake in these proceedings. The Catholic Faith and The Catholic Priesthood are also called into question when these charges are level against any priest."

His defense attorney backs up the innocence claims.

"The polygraph was done a couple weeks ago in my home and he passed it," said defense attorney John J. Broderick, who isn't related to the priest. "There's no question in my mind that he's innocent."

Islamic jihad terrorists at GITMO have more civil rights than Roman Catholic priests.

Well, hopefully on the way to his knees, he'll dump the faux nuns.

Obama Camp Setting Up Collaboration with Muslim Terrorists

Barack Obama's newly appointed Muslim outreach adviser is coming under fire for meeting with Islamic groups with extremist views, just two months after her predecessor resigned over links to a radical cleric.

Minha Husaini met with members of several Islamic organizations in Virginia on September 15 -- including some that terrorism experts say have ties to Hamas and the radical Muslim Brotherhood.

Among the attendees were senior members of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, which was listed by federal prosecutors as an unindicted co-conspirator in a terror-related trial.

Several people connected to CAIR have been convicted of felonies -- including on terrorism-related charges.

Barack Hussein Obama.

The Fall River Archdiocese

Just back from a weekend on the Cape with a friend - and what a gorgeous Fall weekend it was.

We went to Mass at St. Puis X in Yarmouth. The bulletin demonstrated it was expressly pro-life, caring for the homeless, sick, infirm, was faithful to the Catholic relgion and, whooh boy, was it ever jam packed.

What a difference from the Archdiocese of Boston where the atmosphere is lethargy, limp & tortured and the Cathedra is Sede Vacante.

Kooky Louis Farrakhan says Obama is the messiah

Bow down to Baal.

What a pathetic maroona.

You are the instruments that God is gonna use to bring about universal change, and that is why Barack has captured the youth. And he has involved young people in a political process that they didn’t care anything about. That’s a sign. When the Messiah speaks, the youth will hear, and the Messiah is absolutely speaking.

Bill Donohue Parody, we're antiracist but support david duke

The following is a tongue-in-cheek reply to Nick Cafardi's article, "I'm Catholic, Staunchly Anti-Abortion, and Support Obama.":

Duke's support for racist rights has led some to the conclusion that no Catholic can vote for him. That's a mistake. While I have never swayed in my conviction that racism is an unspeakable evil, I believe that we have lost the racism battle -- permanently. A vote for Duke's opponent does not guarantee the end of racism in America. Not even close.

Let's suppose the 1964 Civil Rights Act is overturned. What would happen? The matter would simply be kicked back to the states -- where it was before 1964. Overturning the 1964 Civil Rights Act would not abolish racism. It would just mean that racism would be legal in some states and illegal in others. The number of racist incidents would remain unchanged as long as people could travel.

Duke's opponent has promised to appoint "judicially activist" judges who would presumably vote not to overturn the 1964 Civil Rights Act. But is that sufficient reason for a Catholic to vote for him? To answer that question, let's look at the rest of the Church's list of intrinsically evil acts.

Both Duke and his opponent get failing marks on embryonic stem cell research, which Catholic teaching opposes. The last time the issue was up for a vote in the Senate, both men voted to ease existing restrictions.

There's another distinction that is often lost in the culture-war rhetoric on racism: There is a difference between being pro-choice (e.g., the right to choose racist practices) and being pro-racism. Duke supports government action that would reduce the number of racist incidents, and has consistently said that "we should do everything we can to avoid unprovoked confrontations that might even lead somebody to consider racist behavior." He favors a "comprehensive approach . . . where we teach the tenets of civility to our children." And he wants to ensure that therapy is an option for bigots who might otherwise choose to commit a racist act.

What's more, as recent data show, racist incidents drop when the social safety net is strengthened. If Duke's economic program will do more to reduce racism that his opponent's, then is it wrong to conclude that a Duke presidency will also reduce racism? Not at all.

Every faithful Catholic agrees racism is an unspeakable evil that must be minimized, if not eliminated. I can help to achieve that without endorsing the immoral baggage associated with the party of Duke's opponent. Sustaining the 1964 Civil Rights Act is not the only way to end racism, and a vote for Duke is not somehow un-Catholic.

The U.S. bishops have urged a "different kind of political engagement," one that is "shaped by the moral convictions of well-formed consciences." I have informed my conscience. I have weighed the facts. I have used my prudential judgment. And I conclude that it is a proper moral choice for this Catholic to support David Duke's candidacy.
Racism is nothing compared to the lunacy casting a vote for a defender of a right to commit homicide on an infant by decapitation, quartering by suction while alive or chemical burning unto death. Shame on Kmiec and Carfardi.

Got Change? Better spend it before Obama takes it

McCain's hammering on Obama's "mandates" and "fines" on health care was impressive, as was his positions on taxes, the economic mess, social security, medicare, national security and military policies, his love and pride for America.

Obama comes off as bitter, without a shred of honor and pride in anything but himself. He's got a chip on his shoulder from all the conspiracy theories against whitey and "the government" swirling in his head. Announcing his plans to attack Pakistan is weird and wreckless. He's playing semantics with words about the extortion and threats to Pakistan that they "get" the boogeyman or Obama will invade them. Period. The stupid idea that we can negotiate with a homocidal antisemetic lunatic is foolish.

And, McCain is right about his many efforts working with Democrats and opposing things in his own party - and Obama's goose egg for bipartisan efforts.

This was was a jewel:

Obama Says that McCain [Ramesh Ponnuru]

"believes in deregulation in every circumstance." He cannot possibly believe what he is saying.

I liked McCain's ending. It was effective and moving. A steady hand at the tiller...but he's got to say "my friends" a LOT less infrequently.

Barney Frank Accuses Us all of Bigotry

U.S. Rep. Barney Frank claims some conservatives are trying to thwart new Wall Street regulation by blaming poor blacks for today’s crisis.

The drivel that poor whitey wasn't involved is a peculiar soundbyte, even for Fudsie Frank.

Furthermore, using his own litmus stick, in August, Frank must have been "blaming poor blacks" in this article.

Q. Is the current mess a result of naive consumers being duped into horrible mortgages or is it a case of greedy consumers chasing cheap loans?

A. Some were misled, others took part in the deception. There were people, for instance, who lied about their incomes.

But we have made a mistake in this society. The assumption that everybody can be a homeowner is wrong. We pushed and encouraged people into home ownership - people who, in some cases, weren't ready for it. You can't act on wishes that are unrealistic without having negative consequences.

It's about time the McCain Camp put the Fannie Freddie Mess Front and Center

I hope he hits Obama hard on this tomorrow night.

From McCain's speech:

Our current economic crisis is a good case in point. What was his actual record in the years before the great economic crisis of our lifetimes?

This crisis started in our housing market in the form of subprime loans that were pushed on people who could not afford them. Bad mortgages were being backed by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and it was only a matter of time before a contagion of unsustainable debt began to spread. This corruption was encouraged by Democrats in Congress, and abetted by Senator Obama.

Senator Obama has accused me of opposing regulation to avert this crisis. I guess he believes if a lie is big enough and repeated often enough it will be believed. But the truth is I was the one who called at the time for tighter restrictions on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac that could have helped prevent this crisis from happening in the first place.

Senator Obama was silent on the regulation of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and his Democratic allies in Congress opposed every effort to rein them in. As recently as September of last year he said that subprime loans had been, quote, “a good idea.” Well, Senator Obama, that “good idea” has now plunged this country into the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression.

To hear him talk now, you’d think he’d always opposed the dangerous practices at these institutions. But there is absolutely nothing in his record to suggest he did. He was surely familiar with the people who were creating this problem. The executives of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac have advised him, and he has taken their money for his campaign. He has received more money from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac than any other senator in history, with the exception of the chairman of the committee overseeing them.

Did he ever talk to the executives at Fannie and Freddie about these reckless loans? Did he ever discuss with them the stronger oversight I proposed? If Senator Obama is such a champion of financial regulation, why didn’t he support these regulations that could have prevented this crisis in the first place? He won’t tell you, but you deserve an answer.

MUST SEE MAXINE WATERS/DEMOCRATIC OBLIVION AT THE CORRUPTION, MISFEASANCE AND MALFEASANCE AT FREDDIE AND FANNIE.

Obama is palling around with terrorists

It's about time Obama's tooling around with kooky Ayers is brought to the forefront.

Palin cited a front-page article in today’s New York Times that explored the ties between Obama and Ayers. Obama had served on a charity board with Ayers in Chicago during the mid-90s, and Ayers was present at an organizing meeting in 1995 to kick off Obama's first election campaign for the Illinois State Senate.
Obama's affiliations with thuggery of ACORN are also increasingly being outed.

Image of Blessed Mother at Mercy Hospital

Most interesting!

I love the commentary from the young girl whose mother died. Her smile, affirmation is uplifting.

OJ's luck ran out on a Friday of the 13th year, after 13 hours of deliberation

The sociopath is finally behind bars.

They finally got him.

Simpson's arrogant journey, especially writing the "if I did it" book, oft made me wonder if the jurors who let two murders go without justice because this guy was a celebrity ever felt any shame.

When I heard the news, I really wanted to see his reaction. His beady eyes darting around the room, his sleazy lawyer incredulously says there's no reason to remand him into custody before sentencing (he must have been in a booze and drug stupor during the infamous Bronco chase?) and his sister flops on the floor.

So long chump. Enjoy prison. Women in this world are safer today than they were yesterday.

Sara Palin's Performance Blows Them Away!

After the first few minutes of nervousness, she was articulate, relaxed, intelligent, confident, in command of facts & information, was able to redress Biden's fibs, she was assertive and her delivery was beautifully feminine and attractive.

After all the talk about Gwen Ifill, she did a decent job.

Katie Curic bitchy interview which was sliced to make Palin look like a moron is history. I think it was Karl Rove who said something I hadn't thought of - - remember when Katie Couric blundered for several years in her new job? Quite frankly, not to belabor the point, but, she still stinks at it!

Fred Thompson put it well - those who have put Palin through the wringer, trying to make her look like a buffoon, attacking her family, she brought them to shame.

Pointing out Biden and Obama are waving the white flag of surrender in Iraq was a home run.

She handled the bait on affirming the right for two people to receive benefits and make contracts and yet defending our right to evangelize in the public square was handled tactfully and assertively.

Her policies on energy, defending our sovereignty, economics - she held her own.

Guiliani's post mortem, he said her tact in regurgitating Joe Biden's own words condemning Obama and then saying she respected him for it, were brilliant!

Thanks be to God and the Blessed Mother.

Goodnight Kiddos! Keep praying!

Abortion Apostle Doug Kmiec

Courtesy of Jay Anderson, the latest skinny on Doug Kmiec's stumping for abortion, is, as expected, narcissistic.

He wants to be the Ambassador to the Vatican.

Ramesh reports on more of Kmiec's dishonesty:

Kmiec's latest approach is to deny that the Freedom of Choice Act, which Obama supports, means what its words indicate, what its legislative sponsors say it means, and what pro-abortion lobbying groups say it means. Contrary to Kmiec's assertions, it would sweep away existing state regulations of the abortion right and require that all levels of government fund abortion. Kmiec also claims, falsely, that Obama wants to tighten the "health exception" so that late-term abortions could effectively be regulated. He has never expressed the slightest interest in narrowing the scope of the abortion right protected by the Supreme Court's jurisprudence.I feel that I have already paid too much attention this year to this silly and confused man,
Emphasis mine.

Kmiec has contorted his mind to the point where he is actually selling late term abortions for Obama.

As Ed Whelan at NRO points out, Kmiec is padding his resume:

The Obama campaign routinely identifies Kmiec as “[f]ormer Reagan legal counsel” and “head of the Office of Legal Counsel for Presidents Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush”. Those descriptions are accurate but, insofar as they are meant to suggest that Kmiec was a close adviser to Reagan and Bush, misleading. Kmiec headed DOJ’s Office of Legal Counsel for a grand total of a few months at the end of the Reagan administration (after Chuck Cooper and most of his deputies had left the office) and the beginning of the Bush 41 administration (before President Bush was able to replace him). Someone familiar with OLC at the time tells me that it’s unlikely that Kmiec ever met personally with Reagan to provide him legal advice (and that if any such meetings did occur, they would have been very few).

and later points out: I was overly charitable in my post earlier today about Doug Kmiec. It’s not just the Obama campaign that falsely suggests that Kmiec was a close adviser to Ronald Reagan. In his latest pandering for Obama, Kmiec describes himself as “Ronald Reagan’s legal counsel”.
Next, he'll be Ronald Reagan's vice president.

Sheesh.
