Supreme Court Responds to Little Sisters of the Poor

I just know Antonin Scalia helped with this one!

The high court on Tuesday afternoon asked lawyers on both sides to make new proposals on how contraception might be made available to female employees without involving the nonprofits themselves. There are seven cases that were consolidated into one, bearing the name Zubik v. Burwell.

Truly remarkable.

I believe at the heart of this response lies a complicated theological question that the justices are not equipped to understand and therefore, solve.

We can have no part in taking an action that effectively subcontracts others to commit an evil act that robs them of salvation.

We can't bait the village idiots into doing something spiritually catastrophic. That would be the antithesis of our existence.

A code could be developed that identifies the employer as a non-profit with religious objections. When the woman goes to the pharmacy, the code would identify the woman as eligible for the 'free' services.

Something like this would work because it keeps us completely out of the transaction. We don't have to sign anything that tells the people at the insurance company to conduct a search for people who are uncatechized, immoral, unethical and bait them into the business of flushing babies down the toilet. There is nothing in the set up that causes another immortal soul to do the deed on our behalf.

All we are doing is coding our insurance number to identify us as employers with religious objections.

Did you read Sotomayer's comments?

She said something like how could the government operate if they couldn't force people with religious objections to do something that forces them to lose their salvation?

That says a lot about the kind of 'government' they are erecting, doesn't it.

I digress.

My dear woman, there are plenty of soulless sociopaths lacking empathy to carry out all the murder and mayhem ordered by government bureaucrats such as yourself. Excusing handful of people incapable of obeying such orders, with the fortitude to tell you to go scratch your backside with a broken bottle, won't be a stumbling block to your sick agenda.

Look how far Hitler got. Neighbors who at one time would have you for dinner had no problems digging a ditch and lining their neighbors up in front of it and shooting them between the eyes.

Don't you worry your pretty little head. There's a sucker born every minute.

The handful of people will never obey your homicidal orders. Come what may.

Easter Blessings!

I hope the foot washing didn't rob you of our Sacred Memorial of the Institution of the Priesthood and the Eucharist. I completely checked out of the torching of our religion by the Romans and the ignorance was bliss.

Good Friday at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross was magnificent, as always. There is nothing like veneration of the Holy Relic of the Cross.

As I'm sure most of you know, Mother Angelica died earlier this evening.

What a gift she gave to practicing Catholics.

Remembering back 20 years or so ago feeling absolutely robbed of my religion. The sophomoric and heretical stuff going on at the local parish level was unreal. You had to drive an hour to find a priest practicing Catholicism. We didn't have the Catholic blogosphere we have now. We were living in Babel without a network or the constant flow of enrichment of the treasures of our Faith. Finding EWTN during these days and being plugged into our religion watered my parched soul. I couldn't get enough of it.

She once said something like she would burn the whole kaboodle to the ground before she'd let the pagans get their hands on it. I'm sure she will spend some well-deserved time dissolving into Christ in the company of the Saints and Angels, but I suspect she will take a whip to the protestants trampling her apostolate soon enough.

Wait until she gets a load of what's going on in the Chair of Peter!

Here she is in all her glory.

You can't give what you don't possess. You do nothing but destroy. You have to spoil it as you spoiled so many things in these 30 years.

Pray for us Mother A! A thousand thank yous!

Republican leaders meet to try to stop...

With the Bolsheviks shutting down highways, freedom of speech and religious liberty, leaders in the republican party met to try to stop...DONALD TRUMP!

They are not worried about stopping the communism threatening to take our people into Dante's Inferno.

Their boogeyman is Trump.

Talk about being out of touch with reality!

This is so typical.

About two dozen conservative leaders met Thursday at a private club in Washington, where some pushed for the group to come out for Mr. Cruz to rebut the perception that the stop-Trump campaign was an establishment plot. “If we leave here supporting Cruz, then we’re anti-establishment,” said one participant, who could be heard by a reporter outside.

But the group failed to agree on an endorsement,

The circular firing squad assassinated every option.

Thanks fellas!

Kasper's False Laws of Heretics Victory March

Why is Cardinal Kasper doing a victory lap ahead of the apostolic exhortation?

The pagans who have overthrown Rome seem quite confident that Pope Francis is going attempt an incantation of a false prophet.

He added that the apostolic exhortation will represent “the first step in a reform” that will mark the “turning of a page” in the Church’s history “after 1,700 years."

I read somewhere that Kasper described Pope Francis' actions with the exhortation as leading a 'revolution'. The document purportedly published by a Pope leading a revolt from doctrine was reportedly to be published today, on the Feast of St. Joseph, on the precipice of Holy Week - but Fr. Lombardi corrected the date of publication as the first week in April.

Having a Pope finally end speculation and pen his name as the author of the shit show in Rome would stir a revolution all right. With it would come an end to reservations to openly declare him the first heretic pope in our lifetime. Then the real fun would begin.

It pains me to think of the potential damage foisted upon the poor uncatechized in the chaos.

BUT - before we jump on board Kasper the Deceiver's prophecy, didn't Pope Francis put the kibosh on expectations he will endorse receiving Communion in a perpetual state of mortal sin?

Asked by a reporter if this meant that divorced and civilly remarried Catholics will be allowed to receive Communion, Pope Francis responded: “This is something… this is where it hits home. Being integrated into the Church does not mean ‘taking communion.’ I know remarried Catholics who go to Church once or twice a year: ‘I want to receive Communion!’ as if Communion were a commendation. It is a matter of integration…”

He then added that “all the doors are open” but “one cannot just say: from now on ‘they can take Communion.’ This would also wound the spouses, the couple, because it won’t help them on the path to integration,” the pope said. “These two were happy! They used a really lovely expression: “We do not take Eucharistic Communion, but we do find communion by visiting people in the hospital, in this or that service….”

Even if one were completely ignorant of the damage done to the intellect by the reception of the Blessed Sacrament in a state of perpetual sin, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to conclude it completely does away with the need to regularize.

Permitting the divorced and remarried to receive Communion would have the obvious and direct effect of discouraging many, I would say most, couples from seeking an annulment and getting their situation regularised. I say this because, in the vast majority of cases I see, it is the desire to receive Communion which stirs the conscience of couples and moves them towards the tribunal in the first place. Why would the Pope expend so much effort reforming a process he effectively intended to make redundant?

Given the Holy Father's recently disclosed heresy on Humana Vitae, I suspect the document will be written ever-so-carefully as to invite the witness that adultery is not an impediment to salvation--and this is the reason for Kasper the Deceiver's victory speech.

The first step of the 'reform' is the slow drip of a generation or two of witness that the Church no longer finds absolution of the sin of adultery necessary for salvation.

Based on recent hints dropped by the pope and other top advisers, expert church-watchers believe Francis will attempt the papal version of skating’s triple-axle: not changing orthodox doctrine on anything but altering practice and rules enough to give different types of Catholic families new affirmation that they are a legitimate part of the Church.

They are aiming to give witness to children that the Pope has affirmed sleeping around is a legitimate part of the Church. The altering of 1700 years of practice that sleeping around was the part of the Church that was directed to absolution and promises to avoid temptation and sin. The exhortation will redirect priests to affirm sin through the 'practice'.

The 'practice' of how to steer their people into a perpetual state of mortal sin with affirmation.

I wonder if it's too late to suggest they splice the theology with sections for ministries legitimizing by sin.

Singles for Sex Toys.
Lesbian for Lectors.
Pews for Putanas.
Whistling Wife Cheaters.
Gays with Googly Eyes.

A Naughty Negligee Eucharistic Minister Mass would really pull them into the pews.

Think we are too dumb to see where you're going with it?

Brother, you can't kid the kidders.

We see what you're doing to our children - and by the Christ we will do everything we can to stop you - including a big fugatz in the public square about the 'legitimacy' of heresy coming out of this papacy.

Spiritually-Dangerous Priest Hangs Mary Poppins in St. Cecelia Cathedral

This quite possibly is the most asinine thing any priest in the history of Christendom has done.

He's turned the Sanctuary of the Living God into an 'epicenter of cultural presentation'.

Get this-- the current chancellor resorts to the usual and customary chicanery of alleging what he's doing is permissible because there's nothing in the loosely-written thing called the Catechism forbidding him to hang a Mary Poppins from the ceiling.

He said he sees nothing in “the broad language” of the catechism that would preclude such displays as Mary Poppins being suspended from the ceiling of the cathedral

As if the Holy See could anticipate every moronic idea priests come up with and expressly forbid them.

They would need ten thousand scribes.

Thank God for the janitor!!!

Mark Kenney, 59, who grew up in the parish, had worked at St. Cecilia Cathedral for three years. Around 8 a.m. on Jan. 29, he went to a work shed, picked up a pair of heavy-duty bolt cutters and ascended to a catwalk high above the mostly empty nave, or main sanctuary.

He looked through a peephole, he said, to make sure he wouldn’t hurt any people. And then he cut a steel cable, which sent a suspended, umbrella-carrying, hat-wearing Mary Poppins figure crashing to the floor.

Kenney then went downstairs and removed a cardboard Buddha figure from the Nash Chapel, which also featured costumed mannequins from “The King and I.” He threw the Buddha out one door and proceeded to toss costumed mannequins out two other doors.

God's abundant blessing upon this man for his heroic virtue and bravery.

If the bishop was half of a man he would go down to 'St. Cecelia's' with a whip.

With the current chancellor, "Fr. Gutgsell" as a 'former chancellor' and this dame's description of the state of affairs in the diocese: Eileen Burke-Sullivan, a theologian and vice provost for mission and ministry at Creighton University, said she sees no problem. The cathedral and the archdiocese, she said, have supported the arts in Omaha for many years. , there's probably as much testosterone and sanctifying grace under that mitre as the Mary Poppins mannequin in the trash.

Here is his email:

frgutgsell@stceciliacathedral.org

Maybe we should each send him an email telling him what else he can't hang from the ceiling even though it doesn't say it in the Catechism.

Like his underpants.

Ted Cruz's talking points on how to best help Syrian Christians.

This year's POTUS election has really turned to be a circus. One of most surprising things to me has been the chaos of Catholic leadership. Catholic hold tremendous political power in elections, as do the evangelicals. I don't think a candidate can win without appealing to a majority of these voter blocks.

As I've mentioned here numerous times before, I was shocked to learn of Trump's support in solid Catholic families. Early on, knowing the number and quality of catechized Catholics, I didn't hold much hope that other candidates would be able to overcome Trump's momentum.

Catholic support for Trump is not like anything I've experienced before. Usually Catholics rally around a candidate, campaign and write op-eds to garnish support. Trump's support is more like a silent deadly rebellion.

This op-ed hits the Trump phenomenon nail on the head.

The problem is, the eloquence of Weigel and George’s denunciation notwithstanding, Trump’s supporters are not misinformed or unaware of whom they are supporting. They know his many flaws and contradictions and they are not, sadly, merely waiting for illumination before transferring their support to a more viable candidate.

They do not think that a vote for Trump is a vote for what they care about or believe in, they do not even think a vote for Trump is a vote for Trump. Trump is the ultimate, insulting, offensive, protest candidate and his supporters are simple, old-fashioned, protest voters.

The very characteristics which make Trump grossly unsuited to be president are the reason he continues to attract support as a candidate.

Truth be told, Trump's message resonates with me each time I listen to him. Like most Catholics, I hate to acknowledge it.

I initially threw my support behind Huckabee and when he withdrew, supported Rubio. Though I know Cruz is now our best shot at knocking Trump out of the race, I've had some trouble warming up to him. I'm not alone as I don't see any meaningful support for him in the Catholic voter block.

I think that's because the political rhetoric and antics around his campaign is less than honest and ethical and the nastyassing is amateur. If Catholics are going to vote for a nastyass, they're going to throw their support behind the expert.

One example of Cruz's political tactics are his odious attacks on Rubio for being an enemy of Christians in Syria because he not vow to support the dictatorship of murdering terrorist Assad.

Assad is not a virtuous man who is fighting a war against the slaughter of Christians.

I do believe Obama's attempt to overthrow Assad is passive-aggressive assistance to islamic terrorists and for right now, the enemy of my enemy can serve a short-term purpose to fight ISIS, but nobody in their right mind should be asking candidates to pledge their support this monster.

ISIS has killed many Syrians but Assad has killed more.

More info on Assad HERE and HERE.

Would you make supporting Kim Jong Un a virtuous talking point in your campaign for POTUS and then claim those who do not support Kim Jong Un are enemies of human life of North Koreans?

Of course not, because it's ridiculous.

I loath deception and in Cruz's case, he's using it to paint a daily Communicant as an enemy of Christians. It is so sickening, I can't seem to put it behind me.

The US military is not a club you join for free tuition. It's the military power charged with fighting enemies of liberty and life of Americans.
The wisdom of the strategy to fight the enemy on his own territory seems to evade Cruz supporters.

The wisdom should be obvious: We don't want wait until they have conquered the whole world and are ready to take up the battle in Main Street, USA.

The error of withdrawing US troops from the Middle East should also be obvious: It has led to eight years of the ethnic cleaning of Christians and the enemy is now within.

Cruz's support of Assad results in support of his brutal regime of murder so long as the victims are not Christian. It is a chilling conviction of the sissified and selfish culture that's lead to the complete annihilation of our people in the Middle East.

This is a perfectly sound and legitimate position, based upon deep concern for our brothers and sisters in the Middle East. I've given this much prayerful thought. To see my own position labeled as an enemy of Christians is a fatal blow to supporting Ted Cruz.

The goal of supporters of human life, including Christians in the Middle East, is to strip the Democrats of their power and positions. Ultimately this means keeping Hillary out of office come what may. I do not detect support for this goal in the Cruz team which leads me to suspect they will help the Democrats retain power by waging an anti-Trump campaign.

This is not a viable position for those concerned about human atrocities against Christians.

Adios Crux

The Globe announces they cutting 'the Crux'.

We simply haven’t been able to develop the financial model of big-ticket, Catholic-based advertisers that was envisioned when we launched Crux back in September 2014.”

They thought Marjorie Egan and John Allen would draw Catholic business owners?

Good riddance!

Why not make them tin foil hats to absolve sin?

Will somebody please explain to me what this parade is supposed to mean?

Why on God's green earth would you lead people on such a useless exercise as if the parade meant their soul is saved?

Why not make them tin foil hats to ward off sin, parade them around St. Peter's Square and call it a general absolution parade?

Cardinal Dolan's Bird Cage

I'm sure you have all been following Church Militant's coverage of our little problem in the Archdiocese of New York?

Apparently Fr. Miqueli's sadomasochism itch that cost the parish a million dollars started the domino-effect.

Do y'all remember this?

I'm afraid this is the tip of the tip of a ginormous iceberg.

I was surprised and sorry to hear the shocking allegations involving Cardinal O'Brien.

Cardinal Dolan has been giving this the nudge and the wink for a long time.

It takes effort not to speculate on the reasons why this subculture thrives in every diocese.

Do They Give Lessons on How to Write Patronizing Communications from the Chancery?

While writing to our brothers at the Chancery about this, I was reacquainted today with an old commissary: Our friend Mr. Patronizing Communication.

If I had a dollar for every patronizing communication I received 20 years ago, I could buy myself a new car. After breaking in so many horses at the Chancery, I hadn't received one for years.

First you send the communication informing them of the misfeasance. Once the patronizing letter arrives, you send another communication saying please don't send patronizing template letters out to faithful writing to inform you that something bad is happening - you repeat the malpractice and again ask them to put a lid on it.

Once you break through that ceiling, there's the grand finale of a gauntlet of several years of slander and threats.

Is this an onboarding skill taught by HR?

1. Here's the security code to get into the building.
2. Here's your desk and computer.
3. Here's your phone.
4. Here/s your 12 sling-the-BS template letters.
5. Here's your book of insults.

It could not possibly be a coincidence!

What is so hard about saying - Oh yeah, this is just wrong, wrong, wrong. The kibosh will be put on this and we'll make sure it never happens again.

After all these years, I still don't think they get the reason we are doing it is because we don't want the people we love to roped into their worthless pagan 'forgiveness' rituals.

It is so hard not to just cut to the chase: Giving lessons on 'centering prayer' to find 'forgiveness' is about as useful as teaching them to turn to jello shots for Sacramental Grace.

Here is an excerpt from my letter which you may find useful should this craziness show up in your bulletins:

I hope you will not mind my honesty, ___. This response is very much the response filled with platitudes and aphorisms that is given to the faithful when they are pointing out something is wrong.

Please, I beg of you, do not waste my time.

The author of this pagan practice is actually unknown and I trust you know it is a diversion from Sacramental Grace that is found in the "forgiveness" in the Sacraments.

Do you understand the mystical substance of the objection?

It completely undermines the treasures of healing found in the price of our salvation, and training them to find "healing" by looking for answers in the very substance of the soul that is wounding them.

These practices, when offered to priests, dribble down to the faithful, 99 percent of whom have not seen the inside of a confessional since their first communion.

The soul is a rudder of the intellect. You are leaving the soul to fester in its sickness and turning the intellect to seek its direction.

Who is picking the agenda for our priests?

Prayers for us in Boston...
