Bishops continue to publicly duel over what the Holy Father meant to convey in the ambiguity of Amoris Laetitia

..And the Pope watches the confusion he's sowing in silence.

Another bishop takes a stab at deciphering the mumbo-jumbo to tell us the Pope means adulterers have to practice chastity to receive Communion.

A fabulous attempt by bishop Lopes to circumvent the spiritual homicides of the Holy See.  What else can you do but try to get your own see to cling to Sanctifying Grace to ride out the storm.

The CRUX article ends by pointing out the Pope himself already told us Amoris Laetitia instructs couples to continue to live in a perpetual state of mortal sin and receive the Eucharist in the state of their loss of redemption.

Since Amoris was released in April 2016, different bishops around the world have interpreted its provisions on the divorced and civilly remarried in a variety of fashions. Several, like Lopes, have held that it does not represent a break with previous practice, while others, including the bishops of Pope Francis’s own Buenos Aires region in Argentina, have said that it does.

In that case, the pontiff wrote the Buenos Aires bishops to compliment their draft guidelines.

And here we thought the last circus was closing down.
